In Thai, “Krung” (กรุง) means capital city. It reflects Bangkok — the heart of Thailand — and our ambition to become a cultural capital of Thai experience in Sydney.
Inspired by the concept “From Capital to Capital,” Krung tells the story of Thailand's journey across time and symbolically bridges that heritage to Sydney. At the centre of the venue stands our feature mural, “Journey of Krung,” where golden temples and classical Thai musicians transform into contemporary Sydney landmarks.
Krung is not themed. It is rooted — a living cultural space where heritage is preserved, reinterpreted, and shared.
